Executive DirectorJoe Mitchell is a Catholic priest and member of the Passionist religious community. He studied theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and earned a graduate degree in Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. His ministry includes presenting retreats in Christian spirituality, meditation courses, religious environmental programs, as well as workshops in the new cosmology and Great Work.

Director of ProgramsAnne Walter, who earned an MDiv in Cross Cultural Ministry from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, has worked as a bridge-builder between cultures, religious traditions and communities for over 25 years. As Director of the Anawim Center, she worked with Native American peoples. She has ministered in the offices of justice and peace at several churches, and has been involved in ecumenical and interfaith programs of collaboration.

Director of OperationsRyan Renoud graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Religion and Social Science and from the the Angelicum Pontifical University in Rome with degrees in philosophy and theology. He has worked in church formation ministry, youth ministry, eldercare ministry and monastic administration.

Lent 4.5 National CoordinatorMary is a graduate of Bellarmine and Purdue Universities, has worked an educator at Louisville Collegiate School, Ascension School, Assumption High School where she taught English, Morality, and Catholic Social Teaching. She has worked as a free-lance writer of educational materials, including science exhibits and video scripts.

CommunicationsBeth Zangari, who holds a B.S. degree from the University of Louisville, has been active in developing discussion courses for adult education and environmental education programs for children. She coordinates communication for the Earth & Spirit Center which includes managing the database, website, and newsletter.

Financial ManagerTim Darst earned a degree from Bellarmine University and worked for many years as a CPA. He is active in the community working with Project Warm, the Coalition for the Advancement of Regional Transportation, Food Literacy Project, and St. William's Environmental Concerns Committee. He also serves as the Director of Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light (KIPL), a non-profit organization that works to help people make the connection between religion and ecology.

OutreachPhyllis Fitzgerald, an environmental educator and activist for more than 30 years, has served in government, corporate, non-profit, and school settings. She holds degrees from the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville, with additional training and experience in environmental education, air pollution, energy conservation, sustainable food, community building, and gardening. Office AssistantAllyson Ferry holds a B.A. in Business and Nonprofit Management from Earlham College. She spent time living in, and working for a nonprofit in Peru where she created summer camps for children that focused on the world as a whole and the importance of caring for the environment. She has worked in Louisville at CrossRoads Ministry and as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Neighborhood House.
