Katie joined the Passionist Earth & Spirit Center team in May of 2019. She moved to Louisville with her family in August of 2018 from Indianapolis. Katie loves the outdoors: gardening, hiking, biking, climbing and whatever else comes her way. She is the Brownie Troop Leader for one of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop and also enjoys watching and playing soccer. Katie is interested in environmental issues and sustainability and is always looking for ways to get plugged into community efforts in these areas.

Katie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English Mircea Scarlat High School in Alexandria, Romania after undergraduate school. Her first work experience out of graduate school was as an Associate Director, then Executive Director at Youth Connections in Franklin, Indiana. She moved back into direct practice for a time as a Match Support Specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana. After her second daughter was born, Katie worked as an Office Manager, then as Manager of Development and Marketing at Social Health Association (now Lifesmart Youth). Prior to moving to Louisville, Katie worked for the Indiana Recycling Coalition and as a Legal Assistant at Voyles, Vaiana, Lukemeyer, Baldwin and Webb.
