Riece is from Louisville, KY. She is a native of the West End. She currently works as the program manager of the Health Promotion office at the University of Louisville. She also owns The Girls Bathroom sex shop where she sells sex toys and other pleasure assisting devices. Self-care activities include meditation, running and a good bubble bath. Riece has a passion for social justice, sex education for all and reproductive rights and access.
Riece has a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Health education earned in 2011. She has a master’s degree from Valdosta State in Marriage and Family therapy earned in 2014. She is currently getting a PHD in public health with a concentration in Health promotion and Behavior from the University of Louisville.
Aside from being a KORU meditation teacher, Riece is also certified to teach REFIT Dance fitness. She is also a certified BLS-CPR instructor through the American Heart Association and a QPR gatekeeper instructor for suicide prevention. She is a Green Dot bystander intervention trainer and is trained to teach the young adult, adult and older adult lesson plans for the Our Whole Lives sexuality education curriculum. She is Vice President/President Elect of the Mid America College Health Association and Vice President/President Elect of the Black Faculty and Staff Association at UofL. She is the campus climate committee chair and commissioner for UofL’s commission on the status of women.
