Class Description
Called "the coolest summer camp in Louisville," Camp Odyssey immerses children entering grades 1-6 in the three main aspects of the Earth & Spirit Center mission: spiritual practice, compassion for others, and connection to the Earth. As they explore the woodlands and meadows of our 27-acre campus and nature sanctuary, children work and play with our artists, garden and environmental educators, chefs, yoga and meditation instructors, and musicians. Kids come to understand how ecosystems work, where their food comes from, and how to be more mindful and compassionate toward themselves, others, and their surroundings. There's plenty of time for yoga, meditation, games, laughter, creative projects, singing, and eating super-healthy snacks whipped up from our organic gardens. Camp Odyssey also invites local folk singer John Gage to provide an unforgettable experience for your kids or grandkids.

Camper Expectation Agreement
Any child attending Camp Odyssey is expected to be kind, safe and respectful at all times. By registering for camp you acknowledge the following:
Camp Odyssey is committed to providing a safe, educational environment for all of our campers and staff, free from harassment, intimidation, or bullying. We focus on redirecting any inappropriate behavior, as well as using positive narration to help encourage appropriate behavior. A very important part of our program is giving children the opportunity to learn how to get along in the world, enjoy being with other children, problem-solve and follow the direction of adults other than their parents. A caring and positive approach will be taken regarding behavior management and discipline.
Camp Odyssey has a zero-tolerance policy for hitting, fighting, bullying, verbal threats, destruction of property, and elopement (leaving their group) during our program. If these behaviors are exhibited, the Instructors are trained to contact parents for immediate pick-up, depending on the severity of the incident.
