Class Description
RAISING STEADY HUMANS IN AN ANXIOUS WORLD
Parenting in this moment can fell like holding a lot - big emotions, constant input, and a culture that often runs on urgency and fear. Many parents are asking the same question: How do I help my child with anxiety...while also managing my own?
In this one-time workshop, we'll take a grounded and compassionate look at anxiety in the home.
Drawing from mindfulness, developmental psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology, we'll explore how anxiety moves through both children and adults - and how the parent's presence becomes one of the most powerful tools fore regulation and resilience.
Together, we’ll look at:
- How connection supports a child’s nervous system
- Why a parent’s internal state matters more than we think
- What anxiety looks like across different developmental stages
- Practical ways to respond to anxious moments with clarity and steadiness
- How to create a home environment that supports calm, safety, and growth
This is not about “fixing” anxiety or getting it right all the time. It’s about learning how to meet these
moments with awareness, skill, and care—so your home becomes a place where both you and
your child can find your footing.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of anxiety and simple, meaningful practices they
can begin using right away.
