Class Description
Called "the coolest summer camp in Louisville," Camp Odyssey immerses children entering grades K-6 in the three main aspects of the Earth & Spirit Center mission: spiritual practice, compassion for others, and connection to the Earth. In this new offering at Shawnee Park, they explore the woodlands and open space of one of the anchor Olmsted Parks while working and playing with our artists, garden and environmental educators, chefs, and meditation instructors. Kids come to understand how ecosystems work, where their food comes from, and how to be more mindful and compassionate toward themselves, others, and their surroundings.
We want all children to have an opportunity for summer camp. Through the generous support of the Gheens Foundation, financial assistance is available for Camp Odyssey. This registration page allows you to choose a price that will work for your family. If you have any other questions about these price choices or for other scholarship information, email us at info@earthandspiritcenter.org.

Camper Expectation Agreement
Any child attending Camp Odyssey is expected to be kind, safe and respectful at all times. By registering for camp you acknowledge the following:
Camp Odyssey is committed to a safe educational environment for all of our campers and staff, free from harassment, intimidation or bullying. We focus on redirecting any inappropriate behavior, as well as using positive narration to help encourage appropriate behavior. A very important part of our program is giving children the opportunity to learn how to get along in the world, enjoy being with other children, problem solve and follow the direction of an adult other than their parents. A caring and positive approach will be taken regarding behavior management and discipline.
Camp Odyssey has a zero tolerance policy for hitting, fighting, bullying, verbal threats, destruction of property, and elopement (leaving their group) during our program. If these behaviors are exhibited the Instructors are trained to contact parents for immediate pick up depending on the severity of the incident.
