We’ve hired a new full-time Director of Development and Community Engagement! Carrie Fanelli brings a breadth of experience from years of development work and program management in the nonprofit sector, including work at the YMCA, Red Cross, and most recently, the Kentucky Science Center. Starting in January, Carrie will help us expand and strengthen our efforts to build a robust community of program participants, donors, foundations, and organizational partners. Please feel free to reach out to Carrie (firstname.lastname@example.org) to welcome her and offer any ideas or support for her work. Our heretofore development coordinator, Katie Schlafer, will transition to a program management role in support of our Mindfulness Mentors, the program through which we offer pro-bono mindfulness instruction and other services with underserved Louisville community members. We wish Carrie and Katie well in their new responsibilities!
The Earth & Spirit Podcast explores the intertwining of contemplative spirituality, ecology and social healing through dialogue with people who are rooted in a deep sense of place. Our conversation partners defy neat labels as they weave their vocations, activism and spirituality into unique stories of what it’s like to live an engaged life in whatever community they call home. This podcast is made possible by the generous support from the Kalliopeia Foundation, whose mission is to reconnect ecology, culture, and spirituality through grantmaking, education, and media initiatives.
