Class Description
As we continue in our practice, we become very aware of our mental chatter and the blocks that arise to greater compassion and equanimity. This growing attentiveness creates the conditions for going deeper. We experience, actually, new-found opportunities to move our practice from one of perhaps a passing interest to one of greater energy and compassion and commitment.
This will be a practice-oriented class and time together. Though we will will put more focus on sitting meditation, there will be various forms of walking meditation (or other forms of movement if needed) that we will practice. Each is in service of strengthening the quality of our daily living.
In a container of safety and trust that together we can create, as best we are able, we will set an intention to deepen our friendship with ourselves, each other, and the wider world.
This space is also open to all “bodies.” Some of us are living with physical issues that perhaps feel inhibiting or make the issue of meditation seem impossible. Some might distrust meditation. There is no one right way to meditate and no “normal.” We are who we are and start there.
