Summer Camp Youth Leadership Internship 

What is Camp Odyssey? 

Camp Odyssey is a program of the Earth & Spirit Center for children (Grade K-Grade 6).  The goal of the camp  is to help children develop a loving connection to Earth, build their capacity for social compassion, and explore  mindfulness practices.  During camp, children engage in art projects, music, gardening, cooking, yoga, and other activities.   

What does a Summer Camp Youth Leadership Intern do?  

Summer Camp Youth Leadership Interns support Camp Odyssey.  Interns provide critical leadership functions of the camp that include: peer mentorship with camp volunteers, working with children, coordinating camp social media and communications, etc. 

What are the requirements to be a Summer Camp Youth Leadership Intern? 

  • Must be available for training and two weeks of summer camp:

o Leadership Training: TBD 

o Week One: June 3-7, 2024 (8:30am-4:30pm) 

o Week Two: June 10-14, 2024 (8:30am-4:30pm) 

Week Three: June 17-21, 2024 (8:30am-4:30pm) 

Week Four: June 24-28, 2024 (8:30am-4:30pm) 

Week Five: July 8-12, 2024 at Shawnee Park (8:30am-4:30pm) 

  • Must be a high school or college-aged student
  • Must have an interest and commitment to the Earth & Spirit Center mission as well as an interest in serving children
